The majority of Splashgear® customers are adult women and teenagers, therefore, Splashgear® focuses on these demographics. There are other companies that offer more-coverage swimwear in infant, toddler, and children sizes, such as Coolibar, No Zone Clothing, Solartex, Snapper Rock, and others that you can find on the internet.
At this time, Splashgear® is unable to offer custom service on a regular basis. However, if you have any special needs, please contact customer service directly to discuss your situation. Splashgear® offers misses and women's plus sizes in petite, regular, and tall lengths. You may view those sizes in our Size Charts.
Splashgear® product pricing is a result of many factors. All products are proudly made in the USA using imported fabric with production facilities in Southern California. Splashgear® has contracted with the same factories that have produced for major brand names including Ralph Lauren, Kenneth Cole, Victoria's Secret, Guess, Anchor Blue, Maxine, Robin Piccone, She Beast, and Pearl Izumi. Workers in the USA are protected by labor laws and workplace regulations. You can be assured that the people manufacturing the Splashgear® line are paid at least the minimum wage and work under safe conditions, and retail prices reflect these facts. Because of this, the quality of the products is very high and the value is very good.
Splashgear® swimwear is sold as separates, so that you can build your own swimsuit. Each garment is priced individually, but if you purchase a complete 3-piece outfit (composed of a regularly-priced hair cover, swim shirt, and swim bottoms), then you will receive a 10% discount on the entire ensemble by entering code OUTFIT at checkout . The outfit discount is applied only if an entire 3-piece swimsuit is purchased and kept, and no part of that outfit is returned. If any part of the complete outfit is returned, then the outfit discount no longer applies and a partial refund will be issued to reflect the individual full price on the items that are kept. Sale-priced items not eligible for outfit discount. USPS discounted flat rate delivery price not eligible in conjunction with outfit discount. The outfit discount cannot be combined with any other offer.
The synthetic fabrics used in Splashgear® products do not allow the skin to 'breathe' like other fabrics, such as cotton or Coolmax® polyester fibers. Splashgear® swimwear is designed to be used for water activities and not for working out. For workout/exercise clothing, Splashgear® recommends specific products that are designed to wick moisture away from your skin.
Splashgear® offers flexibility and versatility to the consumer allowing her to create her own unique outfit by mixing and matching different styles and colors. In addition, different customers have different needs, and Splashgear® is happy to be able to serve a diverse clientele. By selling the swimwear in separate pieces, the consumer can purchase only what she will use, and nothing more.
Yes, Splashgear® products offer UV protection. Splashgear® is proud to be the only modest/full-coverage swimwear company in the world that has earned the Melanoma International Foundation’s Seal of Approval for its UV-protective garments. The UV Protection Factor, or UPF, can be found on each respective product page. Generally, the UPF of a fabric increases as the color gets darker and as the weave of the fabric gets tighter. The Chloroban® fabric used for the shirts and hair covers, and the woven polyester fabric used for the swim bottoms, have been tested via the well-established and scientifically-accepted AS/NZS 4399:1996 protocol.
Our swimwear is designed to be modest both in and out of the water. In the water, the clothing is close to the body and does not float, but is not skin-tight (please see underwater photos of the swimwear). The fabrics are thin and lightweight, and they do not weigh down the swimmer. Additionally, safety features have been designed into each product. Upon exiting the water, the clothing will stick to the body, but a quick tug at the bottom of the swim shirts as well as a few steps taken with the swim bottoms, which are DWR-coated for water repellency, will instantly loosen the fabric from the body. Splashgear® swimwear is designed to balance both the functional needs of in-water performance and safety with out-of-water modesty. Our swim bottoms have a low-profile zipper and mesh pocket for water drainage. The swim shirts and bottoms are cut to be comfortably loose out of the water, but relatively close to the body in-water to prevent floating up. All orders outside of California, USA, are not charged any sales tax. Sales tax is collected on California in-state orders only. International customers should check local regulations for any tariffs or duties that may be levied on your order.

Customer service is a high priority at Splashgear® and we want you to be happy with your purchase. We ask that you confirm your size in our size charts before ordering to be sure you choose the correct fit the first time around. Ordering oversized clothing is unnecessary with Splashgear products, as modest designs are already built into the line. By following our size chart, you should order your actual size for best fit and function.
There are times, however, when you may need to return or exchange a purchase. If you are unhappy with the color or style, or the fit is not right, you are welcome to return or exchange unused products by mailing them back to Splashgear® in their original packaging and condition within 30 days of receipt. Used clothing will not be accepted for returns or exchanges. Splashgear® is not responsible for the condition of products after they have been worn or used.
Please complete the return/exchange form and mail back along with your unused items for processing. The items must be in resalable condition with tags still attached. A full refund will not be provided on returned items if tags are removed, or if the product has been altered from its original state. While the customer may choose any delivery service to return an item, Splashgear recommends using USPS First Class Package with tracking as an economical choice. We apologize that we cannot refund postage costs.
Please complete the return/exchange form and mail back along with your unused items for processing. The items must be in resalable condition with tags still attached. The exchange item(s) will be shipped either free of charge if less than 1 lb (16 oz) or for a low flat rate of $5.00 if over 1 lb.
If the incorrect item was shipped or the unused item is defective, Splashgear® will replace it and provide free delivery on the exchanged product. Please complete the return/exchange form and mail back along with your unused items for processing.

International customers have a choice between the more economical USPS Priority Express Mail International® or UPS Worldwide Expedited service, both of which offer tracking and automatic insurance. Both USPS and UPS charges are variable, and are based on weight and destination. If you have any questions about UPS availability to your country, please contact customer service.
Please note that Splashgear® is not responsible for any customs duties, tariffs, or taxes. International customers are responsible for paying these fees, if applicable. Furthermore, Splashgear® is not responsible for the actions of delivery services within or outside of the USA. Splashgear® does not contract with any delivery company outside of the USA and has no knowledge of how packages are delivered once they arrive in another country. You may wish to contact your local post office or UPS office to ask about their delivery protocols and any additional delivery costs.
Please note that Splashgear® is not responsible for lost or stolen items or packages. Once Splashgear® surrenders packages to the USPS or UPS, Splashgear has no control of the package or of the delivery protocols or delivery times of the USPS or UPS. For questions about your package, please use the tracking number provided to you by Splashgear® to track your package at the USPS or UPS website. If your package is lost, you will need to contact USPS or UPS directly to file a claim.
