Women's Swim Shirts - Island ShirtTM

The original Island ShirtTM is a carefree way to enjoy water recreation. Its design is based on the popular surfer rash guard shirt, but unlike the regular surfer rash guard shirts, our Island Shirt has a looser fit in the chest for modesty. The waist is tapered to deliberately fit snugly in order to prevent riding-up while in the water. This shirt is to be worn over your own one-piece bathing suit or tankini. This shirt may also be worn over more tight-fitting outfits, such as a wetsuit or a lycra skin suit (may need to purchase larger size).

  • Made of lightweight and quick-drying 100% polyester knit
  • Manufactured using chlorine-proof Chloroban® fabric--same fabric used in Speedo® and Adidas® competitive swimwear
  • Constructed with flatlock seams for comfort
  • Front panel of shirt is double-lined for extra modesty
  • Fabric provides UV protection (click on Technical Specs tab above)
  • Color-coordinated Splashgear logo on upper left corner of shirt

    I haven't used my shirt in water yet, but tried it on and seems perfect. I'm tall--long arms, torso--and this covers me. Really like the sun screening feature.

    This was another repeat purchase. I used my first one until it was worn out: for paddling, cycling and swim training. It lasted a long time. A necessity in the wardrobe of every athlete, active person and busy family member.

    Dear Splashgear,

    I just went to Hawaii, and I wanted to thank you so much for taking my vacation to the next level!  The quality and coverage of your swim outfits are excellent!  I was able to kayak, snorkel, swim with dolphins, and play on the beach comfortably, while fitting right in with the swim culture surrounding me.  I've always tried to make hijab a non-issue while doing water activities, but it's wonderful to find a company like Splashgear that makes it all the more possible.

    Long-time Splashgear customer here.  I keep coming back simply because there is no better performance-based modest swimwear out there.    Highly recommended  to  every woman who wants to protect her skin from the sun or who covers out of modesty and enjoys being active in the water.  Splashgear swimwear will not disappoint!
